Cardinal features

  • Checkout lengths for most things are three weeks. Learn more about borrowing materials.
  • Save your history of holds and checked out items by “opting in” through your account.
  • Choose to be notified of arrived holds and upcoming due dates by text message or email.
  • Materials will automatically renew up to three times if no one else has requested the item. You’ll get a notice the day before it is due letting you know whether or not the renewal was successful.
  • Request items, renew checkouts, and manage your account online, by phone, or in person
  • Transylvania County cardholders have first dibs on books, movies, and other materials owned by Transylvania County Library for 6 months after being added to the Library’s collection.

Your PIN/password is usually either the last four digits of your library card number or the last four digits of your phone number. You can change your PIN through the “My Account” section of the online catalog.
