Using Your Library Card

Library cards are available at no charge to those who reside, own property, work or attend school in Transylvania County. Others might be eligible for a non-resident card with an annual fee. A library card or official photo ID must be presented to borrow materials.

We are a member of the NC Cardinal library consortium so you can use your Transylvania County Library card at any NC Cardinal Library, including all public libraries in western North Carolina. Checkout limits, loan periods, etc. may vary when visiting other libraries.
