Noontime Notions – Tales of the Cherokee

Presenter Betty Reed will present her program, Tales of the Cherokee.

November is National Native American Heritage Month and this program will offer a unique journey with words and images into the world of the Cherokee and showcase Reed’s research on Cherokee personalities and events. She has spoken about her research in various venues across North Carolina. Betty J. Reed is an award-winning author and educator and has published articles focusing on tribal traditions and the personalities of outstanding Native Americans. A native of Western North Carolina, Reed has spent the past 25 years learning more about the Cherokee Nation, its people, and their history and she is an enthusiastic voice when sharing those stories.
