Philosophers have debated the question of the best moral life for human beings for centuries. Should we act so as to create the best results? Is it our intentions, rather than the results, that matter? Or is it the state of our character that determines a good life? This talk will canvas the different answers that philosophers have given to the question of how we should live, offering both their views and some of the challenges to those views. After the presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion.
