How to Pay for College

February 6 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

High school students and families will especially appreciate this workshop, but anyone preparing for the college process is welcome! Learn about the opportunities for students and families to pay for 2 and 4 year college programs, including how to find scholarships and successfully complete the new, revised FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You will leave with helpful tips and resources to help you on your journey to paying for college without going broke.

Attendees are welcome to bring and follow along on a device – the site is mobile friendly. Registration is not required.

About the presenter: Devon McCarthy-James has been helping students and families with the college and financial aid process for 18 years, first as a public high school teacher and counselor, and now as the WNC Representative for the non-profit College Foundation of North Carolina.
