To schedule a session: Call the Reference Desk at 828-884-3151, ext. 4 during operating hours.
Printing is available from our public computers. A self-service public copier is located just past the Reference Desk and a book edge copier is available in the Local History Room.
You can print your documents to the Library’s printers from anywhere via an Internet connected desktop or laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

As part of the public copier, there is a scanner that is available for use.
There is no charge to use the scanner and you do not need a Library card. Ask at the Reference Desk to get started.
Public Computers
The Library has 12 computers in the Reference Area. Library cardholders can log in using their card number, agreeing to the Computer and Internet Use Policy. Visitors or patrons without a card can get a Guest Pass at the Reference Desk.
Session limits: 2 sessions per day, 1 hour each, with a possible 30-minute extension if computers are available.
You must be logged in with your own card or a staff-issued Guest Pass.
A public computer is also available in the Rowell Bosse North Carolina Room for genealogical and local history research.
Youth Computers
The Youth Services Department has 8 computers for children (ages 12 & under), offering educational games and kid-friendly websites. Children 8 & under must be accompanied by a parent.
Wireless Internet (WiFi)
Free WiFi is available throughout the Library and adjacent grounds from approximately 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Connect to TClib and click “Continue to the Internet” at the sign-in page. Using WiFi means you agree to the Computer and Internet Use Policy. More details are available in Information for WiFi Users.
