Scanner

As part of the public copier, there is a scanner that is available for use.

There is no charge to use the scanner and you do not need a Library card. Ask at the Reference Desk to get started.

Wifi/Public Internet

The Library has 24 computers in our Reference Area for use by the public. Library cardholders may choose any available computer and log in using your Library card number. Logging on to a computer requires agreeing to the Library’s Computer and Internet Use Policy. Guest Passes are issued at the Reference Desk for visitors and patrons without Library cards.

You may have two sessions on the public computers per day. Each session is for one hour and may be extended for an additional 30 minutes, if computers are available. You must be logged on to the computers with your own library card or a staff-issued Guest Pass.

In addition, there is a public computer in the Rowell Bosse North Carolina Room for genealogical and local history research.

Our Youth Services Department has eight public computers just for kids. Each computer offers educational games and access to a selection of websites appropriate for children. These computers are for use only by children ages 12 and under. Kids ages 8 and under must be accompanied by a parent while using the computers.

The Library offers free Wireless Internet (WiFi) access throughout the Library.  You can access the Library’s WiFi from approximately 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Connect to TClib and then click on “Continue to the Internet” at the sign-in page.  Use of the wireless connection implies your agreement with the terms and conditions of the Computer and  Internet Use Policy.  Additionally, Information for our Wi fi users outlines all the parameters for wireless use.
