Join us for Tai chi in the Library Amphitheater every Tuesday through October 24!
Tai chi practice allows us to stretch our bodies to their full potential with calm, slow, relaxed movements stimulating new energy. Create time for tending your own recreational vehicle—your body! With centered balance exercises we find new ways to move that give us grounding and buoyancy at the same time.
This class is geared for ages 15 and up, for all abilities, and it’s free. Come try the chi gong warm up exercises, slow your pace, and improve your balance and focus.
Class takes place every Tuesday through October 24 at 12:00 pm in the Library Amphitheater. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and rubber-soled shoes.
This series will be taught by Carrie Blair. She has practiced tai chi 24 forms Yang style since 1985. Having trained horses all her life, skied on water and snow, she says that tai chi helps maintain bone density because of the slow weight shifts and one-legged stances. Her goal is to teach a gentle way of moving with functional integrity.
