The Noontime Notions series continues. The program will begin at noon in the Rogow Room at the Transylvania County Library. Noontime Notions programs feature authors, performers, and presenters providing engaging notions for consideration, enjoyment, and discovery. The program is made possible by the Friends of the Library and will last approximately one hour.
I found an injured or sick animal in the wild! What should I do next? This conversation covers how to safely assess a situation, recognize signs of distress or injury, and avoid unintentionally harming an injured wild animal or yourself. Attendees will learn practical steps to take if they find an injured animal and aim to promote responsible, humane action that gives wildlife the best chance of recovery and return to its natural habitat.
Sarah Clayton teaches Animal Science at Brevard High School and is a local wildlife rehabilitator licensed by NC Wildlife Commission. She has been rehabilitating wildlife for over 10 years in North Carolina.
