National Library Week 2022 – Grandma Gatewood: A Character Portrayal

The week kicks off on Tuesday, April 5 at noon with “Grandma Gatewood: A Character Portrayal” presented by actress Anne Van Curen. She will transform into Emma “Grandma” Gatewood to describe what it was like to be the first woman to solo hike the Appalachian Trail in 1955. This program also serves as the Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Library providing a brief update on Friends activities over the past two years as well as spotlighting the many volunteers who give their time and talent to support the Friends and the Library.
