Introducing: Field Trips for Grownups! Get behind-the-scenes tours of the places – and meet the people – who help our community thrive! These events are for folks 18+. We’ll walk around and see the sites, ask all our burning questions, and make friends with community helpers. Registration is required as space is limited.
First stop: the Vulcan Penrose Quarry, aka: “Rock On”
When: Wednesday, October 22 • 1:00-3:30 pm
Join us for a tour of Vulcan Penrose Quarry! We’ll visit Vulcan Materials Company and learn how they “make little rocks out of a big rock and build our community.” We’ll tour the quarry on the bus with one stop where we can view a piece of quarry equipment and take a photo.
