ecoEXPLORE Program: Pollinator Appreciation
April 19, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This program will be led by staff from The North Carolina Arboretum. Come out and learn about the amazing world of pollinators with ecoEXPLORE! Meet some native plants and wildflowers that are especially useful for pollinators found in our backyards – like birds, bees, and butterflies.
This program is geared for those in grades K-8, but all ages are welcome to attend.
We will meet in the Library’s amphitheater with a rain location of the Rogow Room.
The Transylvania County Library is part of the #PlantWildflowers Initiative supported by HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and PBS Nature. The Library will have programs for all ages focusing on pollinators and wildflowers in the months of April and May. Stop by the Library to check out a book from our curated display and pick up a packet of wildflower seeds and a bee ID card while supplies last.
Scientists need YOUR help in studying animals everywhere, including your own backyard! Join the crew of ecoEXPLORERS — kids who submit observations of plants and animals for scientists to study and earn prizes while they do it: https://www.ecoexplore.net/
