ecoEXPLORE Program: Entomology Season

August 21 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for an educational program with the North Carolina Arboretum to learn all about the many different insects that call Western North Carolina their home (and some that don’t!)! Ever wondered how flies’ eyes work? Or if insects have ears? At this program we’ll answer these and all of our biggest bug questions. We’ll also learn about the many different types of insects, go outside to see what we can find, and even meet a special bug friend! Come ready to hear about the ecoEXPLORE program, find out what makes a bug a bug, what different types eat, where they live, plus much more! This program is geared for ages 5 to 13.

Scientists need YOUR help in studying animals everywhere, including your own backyard! Join the crew of ecoEXPLORERS — kids who submit observations of plants and animals for scientists to study and earn prizes while they do it: https://www.ecoexplore.net/.
