The Transylvania County Library is offering an exploration of art for youth during the month of April. The programs are free, but registration is required for each program. Call the Youth Services desk or stop by the Library to sign up NOW as space is limited!
Tuesday, April 11 – 3:45pm-5:15pm – Introduction to Weaving with Kelly McBride (Grades 4-8)
Learn the basics of weaving in this beginner class. We’ll learn weaving vocabulary, look at examples of different kinds of weaving, and make our own woven wall hangings.

Create swirling designs using paper, ink, and water.
Tuesday, April 18 – 4pm-5pm – Origami Tech (Grades 6-12)
Learn origami techniques combined with basic circuitry and LED lights to create moving and blinking projects.
Tuesday, April 25 – 4pm-5pm – Introduction to Crochet (Grades 3-6)
Learn the basics of crocheting in this beginner class while making a friendship bracelet to take home.
