All the World’s His Stage

November 17, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join members of the North Carolina Studio Theatre on Thursday, November 17th at 12 noon in the Rogow Room at the Transylvania County Library as they present All the World’s His Stage, a celebration of Shakespeare with a performance of scenes and monologues from some of his best loved plays including Hamlet, Macbeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Henry V, Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice, Merry Wives of Windsor and others.
2016  marks the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and people are celebrating his life and work at events all over the world.   The North Carolina Studio Theatre is a small acting company based in Brevard, NC dedicated to performing a wide range of work – from the newest, young playwrights to the classics. The company is comprised of some the area’s favorite performers including Mark, Sandi and Andy Thompson, Nita Porter, Amy Shute and others. Claudia Carter Covington is the founding member of the group. She acted professionally and served as literary manager for Charlotte Repertory Theatre for 20 years before moving to Brevard.  We’ll have coffee and cookies courtesy of the Friends of the Library.  Don’t miss it!
