Join us for four inspiring days in beautiful Brevard, North Carolina,
home to waterfalls and outstanding mountain scenery.

Exploring the theme “A Sense of Place,” our award-winning faculty
of Jane Smiley, Robert Morgan, and Sy Montgomery
will give readings and conduct master classes in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction.

Brevard College will host the small, selective workshops and provide
meals and accommodations on its lovely small-town campus.

It’s a dream weekend for writers and outdoor enthusiasts.

About Brevard and Transylvania County

Transylvania County is a beautiful place every season of the year, but there is something particularly lovely about an Appalachian spring.  We are home to the Pisgah National Forest, the Gorges State Park and the DuPont State Recreational Forest.  So, while you are here for the Conference, we hope you will take some extra time to explore.  Bike, hike, paddle, visit one of our 250 waterfalls, or stroll through downtown Brevard.  Whatever you do, we welcome you to our county!
