Combines the oral history testimonies of long-time residents of Transylvania County’s African American communities with a traditional architectural survey of the same neighborhoods to paint a picture of a community that has remained strong and vibrant for over 100 years.
The presentation is co-sponsored by the Transylvania County Joint Historic Preservation Commission (JHPC) and the Transylvania County Library.
