The Courier

Based on a true story, this film documents the contributions of a British businessman drawn in as an M16 spy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Benedict Cumberbatch expertly portrays Greville Wynne, an unlikely hero relying on a Soviet operative known by the code name Ironbark, to obtain intelligence that will help thwart nuclear war.  A gem from 2020 that historical fiction lovers may have missed, this drama recreates Cold War missions and missives that are relevant to today’s international relations.
