EARTHour: Mission: Impossible Garden

EARTHour is an invitation to young environmental warriors who wish to grow their green superpowers! In this four-part series, we’ll call upon bees, trees, and gardening knees as we read and share information about protecting the environment.

These programs are for rising 1st through rising 5th graders. Registration is required. Sign up for one or sign up for all by calling the Kids & Teens desk at 828-884-3151 ext. 3.

Friday, June 14 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Mission: Impossible Garden
Investigate how plants transform from seeds to sprouts to fruits we enjoy. Everyone can be a gardener, and today it will be you!

These programs are taught by Sarah Baldwin who has taught at Brevard Elementary School for over twenty years. She holds a Masters degree and National Board Certification. She’s currently working on her NC Environmental Certification. Her favorite bird is the Carolina wren.

In honor of the 2024 Summer Olympics, participate in relay games to exercise your body and mind as bee facts are revealed. As a bonus, earn a sweet prize!
