There are many ways that you can stay connected to events and happenings at the Library.
We have email notification to notify you when a requested hold arrives, upcoming due dates of materials checked out on your Library card, and notification of items that are overdue on your Library card. Please give the Circulation Staff a call at 884-3151, ext 2 to sign up for these convenient email notifications. You can also send an email from your preferred email address to the Library that includes your name, Library card number and what notifications you would like to receive via email.
In addition to email notifications, library patrons can “opt-in” to receive text message notices when holds are ready for pickup. To sign up for text message notifications, visit your online account and navigate to “Notification Preferences” under the Account Preferences tab. Check the box to “Notify by Text by default when a hold is ready for pickup,” select your mobile carrier, enter your mobile phone number, and click Save.
You can subscribe to Shelf Reading, our book review service. Twice a month, John Welch and Karen Cole, take you on a journey through the library stacks. Their reviews include only books that are available in our library. They may be old, new, or somewhere in between; fiction, non-fiction or an interesting, eclectic mix. It’s a great way to find a good read! To sign up, visit the subscription e-newsletters webpage and select “Shelf Reading”, then enter you email address at the bottom of the page and click “Subscribe”.
We also have a weekly Events @ the Library email service. This weekly email is sent out each Wednesday and spotlights Library sponsored events for the next 10 days. To sign up, visit the subscription e-newsletters webpage and select “Events @ the Library”, then enter you email address at the bottom of the page and click “Subscribe”.
