SUMMARY:The Elder Fraud Industry: Spotting and Reporting Scams
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an elder law mini-series!  According to the FBI\, scammers defraud seniors in the United States of billions every year. This presentation will examine why seniors may be especially vulnerable. We will discuss how to spot and avoid potential scams\, how to keep yourself safe online\, and what to do if you or someone you care about may be caught up in a scam. \nPresented by Casey Steen.  Steen has been an attorney with Pisgah Legal Services since 2016. He is currently the director of Pisgah’s Elder Law Program\, focused on protecting the legal rights of vulnerable seniors throughout Western North Carolina.
