DESCRIPTION:Rowell Bosse was a leading figure in preserving the history of Transylvania County. He served on the Transylvania County Historic Properties Commission and the City of Brevard Historic Preservation Committee\, predecessors of the Joint Historic Preservation Commission and the Transylvania County Historical Society.\nThe Rowell Bosse North Carolina Room in the Transylvania County Library is one of his legacies\, made possible through his devotion to the study and preservation of local history and his generous bequest. Throughout the month of July\, the 2nd floor display cases will feature materials representing his life and interests. \nJoin us in celebrating Rowell Bosse’s birthday on the 2nd floor at the Library on Friday\, July 15. There will be a brief presentation about Bosse’s preservation efforts and how they live on at 1:00 pm. Light refreshments will be available from 1-5 pm.
