DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by NC Cooperative Extension and the Transylvania County Library\, Living in the Mountains is a five-part educational series exploring the unique challenges and opportunities of living in the mountains of Western North Carolina. \nPart Two: Understanding Wells\, Septic Systems & Radon\nTransylvania County Environmental Health will deliver a presentation on septic tank systems and drinking water wells including a quick guide to help folks understand their basic functions and maintenance requirements. This information may be especially important to those who have been served by a municipal sewer system and/or public water system in the past. Bring your questions and we’ll sort through the myths and urban legends to provide you with the most up-to-date information available. Erin Massey\, N.C.
