DESCRIPTION:To support public health and help the slow the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus)\, this program has been cancelled.\nDiscover Natural Transylvania is a monthly program series at the Transylvania County Library exploring the place where we live\, work\, and play.  Presenters include experts in the fields of ecology\, biology\, geology\, flora\, fauna\, outdoor recreation\, and more.   The programs are on the first Thursday evening of most months at 6:30 pm in the Rogow Room.  Each program lasts approximately one hour.  Light refreshments are provided.  These free programs are supported by the Friends of the Library \nThursday\, February 6—6:30 pm\nEd Schwartzman\, Biologist & Ecologist\n \nThursday\, February 20—6:30 pm\n “Jocassee: Jewel of the Escarpment”\nA SCETV Expeditions with Patrick McMillan film \nThursday\, March 5—6:30 pm\n“Hiking & Waterfall Safety”\nNeal Wilcox\, Gorges State Park  \nThursday\, April 2—6:30 pm\n“Introduction to iNaturalist—Citizen Scientist”\nJonathan Marchal\, NC Arboretum
