DESCRIPTION:2019 Books Nuts Book Club\n\n\nOur Book Nuts Book Club is for young readers approximately 6-9 years of age who would enjoy and are capable of reading the books chosen for the current year’s list. The group meets every other month to enjoy book-related activities and discuss the month’s featured book. You don’t have to commit to reading all the book selections – just the ones that interest you. A few weeks before the book club date\, pick up the featured book from the Youth Services desk and be ready to celebrate and discuss it by the meeting date. Book Nuts meet on set Thursdays throughout the year from 4:00pm – 5:00pm in the Freeman Storytime Room at the Library. \nThe 2019 Book Nuts Book Club schedule is as follows: \nJanuary 10: The Year of Miss Agnes by Kirkpatrick Hill \n \nMarch 7: How to Save Your Tail*: *If You Are a Rat Nabbed by Cats Who Really Like Stories About Magic Spoons\, Wolves with Snout-Warts\, Big\, Hairy Chimney Trolls…and Cookies Too by Mary Elizabeth Hanson \n\n\n \nMay 9: My Father’s Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett \n \nJuly 11: The Firework-Maker’s Daughter by Phillip Pullman \n \nSeptember 12: The Get Rich Quick Club by Dan Gutman \n \nNovember 7: The Year of the Dog: A Novel by Grace Lin \n \nDecember 12: End of the year party!
