Sept. 3\, 6-7 pm \nJoin author and historian Craig Gralley as he reveals the unexplored history of wealthy Charlestonians and the enslaved who settled in Dunn’s Rock\, and the impact they had in developing our community and western North Carolina. Gralley will discuss his findings as they appear in his latest book\, Echoes of Eden in Western North Carolina\, The Johnstone Settlement\, 1852-1864. \nCraig Gralley is a retired CIA senior executive who has written two critically-acclaimed books exploring various elements of American history\, focusing on WWII and Cold War espionage. He earned one Master’s degree in Government from Georgetown University and a second Master’s degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University.
