Eclipse 2017- Everything you want to know about an eclipse but were afraid to ask

On August 21, 2017 Transylvania County will be in the path of totality for the rare solar eclipse. Join Skip Bird, instructor with PARI (Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute) for a program of science, safety, and fun activities. We’ll explore how and why eclipses occur, several fun activities to do before and during the eclipse (like creating eclipse viewing boxes), and how to make this eclipse a safe event. This fun learning session is for children and families.
