Children’s Book Week originated in 1919 with the belief that children’s books and literacy are life-changers.
We’ll have drop-in activities all week long in the youth area from 10am to 5pm. See the schedule below. Plus, enter a drawing for a free book. You can even see the TC Library staff dressed as book characters on Tuesday, May 1st. Stop by and tell us about your favorite children’s books and join us for all the fun!
Monday: Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (pigeon craft)
Tuesday: The Gruffalo (mouse hat craft) & Book Character Dress-up Day
Come see your librarians dressed up as book characters. You can dress-up as your favorite character too!
Wednesday: A House for Hermit Crab (hermit crab craft)
Thursday: Scavenger Hunt
Friday: Berenstain Bears (bracelet craft)
