Bag Lunch Arts Program @ Rogow Room, Transylvania County Library | Brevard | North Carolina | United States

“Life in the Universe” presented by Dr. Mike Castelaz.

This program will focus on NASA missions to find life in our solar system and around other stars including results from the exploration of Mars, the Moons of Jupiter and Saturn, and the planets around other stars using spacecraft, robots, and space-based telescopes.  Castelez will also provide an overview of NASA’s latest effort – the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite – that will monitor 200,000 stars in its search for earth-size planets.

Held on the third Tuesday of most months at 12 noon in the Rogow Family Community Room. Patrons are encouraged to bring along a bag lunch to enjoy before the program. Cookies and coffee are courtesy of the Friends of the Library. Programs last approximately one hour.
