Effective July 1, 2009 the Rowell Bosse Local History Room is closed from 12-1 each weekday and all day on Saturday. Call the Local History Room at 884-3151, ext. 242 for more information.

Borrowing Guidelines

Free library cards, valid for three years are available to Transylvania County residents and property owners. Non-residents pay a fee of $20 per year.
Current, valid identification is required in order to obtain a library card.
A parent's or guardian's signature and identification are required for children to obtain a library card.
Library cards must be presented to borrow materials.
All materials charged on your card are your responsibility.
Notify the library if your address changes or if you lose your card. Replacement cards are $2.
Books, CDs and Audiocassettes may be renewed twice, if they are not on reserve. Videos and DVDs may not be renewed.
