Center Cooperating Collection Access to the Cooperating Collection is available all hours the library is open.

The Foundation Center Cooperating Collection at the Transylvania County Library is a body of resources that individual researchers and nonprofit organizations can use to research funding opportunities from grantmaking foundations and corporations. The collection includes grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and resources to assist in the grant seeking process. The collection is available for use at no charge and no appointment is necessary to use the collection. Normal printing charges apply ($.10 per page for printouts).
As a member of the Foundation Center's nationwide network of libraries, community foundations and related agencies, the Library also offers access to the Foundation Center's electronic database, the Foundation Directory Online.

They connect nonprofits and individuals with grant and grantmakers via the most comprehensive database on U.S. foundation and corporate grants available. Use the Foundation Center website to find free basic information about funders based on name, state, and zip code. Website also includes free online tutorials on Foundations and Fundraising, Proposal Writing, and Nonprofit Management.
